I read your review of Hisham's new tape, I agree with most of what you said, it's Hisham's best tape yet, and Laila is his best song ever, especially as it came out in perfect timing for it to become a #1 song, it came out as the Egyptian national team won the African Nation Cup in soccer, and millions were singing the song for many nights after the victory, it's a best seller in Egypt.

The tape has many other nice songs, I loved them all.

Only, Hisham and Amr Dyab couldn't be compared for they sing a different style of music. Neither is my favourite I like both the same, but they are both different.

First of all I'd like to congratulate you on a great web site that's very entertaining and informative. Second of all I'd like to disagree with you on your review of Awedony, which is alright considering taste in music is all subjective. I am the type who is very critical, always comparing and contrasting the works and efforts of new artists with the amount of work and dedication that went into the great classics such as Abdel Halim and the works of the Rahbani Brothers and Fairuz and the like. But all in all in all I was truly impressed with Amr Diab's new CD.

One song in particular got my attention.Weghalawtec. I feel that the words are really beautiful and the speed and the melody of the song brings out Amr Diab's voice much better than faster paced clap-laden works. I felt there really was an effort to make the songs different than the run of the mill modern day releases and the music composition and the lyrics were really well done.

I just had a look at your review for Ana Wa Layla.. you're quite right.. I had the same impression when I first heard it, but that's how it goes with Kazem I guess...

Well I like the beat of La3ab Beehom Le3eb.. but the song of the album is Ana Wa Layla.. it's really depressing.. I mean, in a good way... you can feel every word... but I came to this conclusion after listening to it every day!! hehehhee ok..

Congratulations once more on the work you are doing.

I do not agree with you for the lower rating of Wael al Jassar and George Wassouf just for the fact they have nasel voices. This is one of the reasons I and lots of people like their voices. I've bought 20 albums this summer, the tendancy is lower quality music and songs, still, among all, I prefer to listen to the two albums of these two singers.

I think that your review of Wael Kfoury's new album Tnaachr Shahr was pretty harsh. This album has six great songs that tell a story.

The songs tell a story of a young man's life in the army who is fighting for the country that he loves, who misses his parents and his love. This album faces the reality of the young Arabic man's struggle in the Lebanese army. The armyish beat is what makes it all the more real.

I don't want you to think that I am angry at your opinion because everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I thought that I would share mine.
